ONLINE BOOK LAUNCH EVENT with Helen Hiebert
We are so excited for the release of Helen Hiebert’s new book, Weaving With Paper. Please join us for a special online event with Helen on Tuesday, December 16th, 2026.
Weaving With Paper features 30 unique paper weaving projects with step-by-step instruction and inspirational prompts for developing a daily practice. Each project includes a prompt, a technique, step-by-step instruction, and examples of the project that will inspire readers to repurpose, recycle, and reuse papers they may already have, like maps, postcards, holiday cards, or journals.
All ages are welcome to join the event (no purchase necessary).
Event Details
- Date/Time: Tuesday, December 16th, 12 noon MST Denver (Time Zone Converter)
- Event length: 90 minutes
- Where: On Zoom (click on the Register button below to sign up. You will receive a reminder with the link on the morning of the event. The event will be recorded, so please register if you wish to receive the replay).
Create a Woven One-Sheet Lantern
- Supplies: You will need the following tools & materials to make a Woven One-Sheet Lantern.

- (2) sheets of 8-1/2 x 11″ (A4) heavy text or light cover paper that match. At least one should look good when held up to the light.
- Small cutting mat
- Bone folder (if you have one)
- Craft knife
- Glue stick or 1/2″ (1CM) double-sided tape
- Approx. 2″ x 6″ (5.1 x 15.2CM) piece of thin plastic, like a piece of a plastic placemat or a flat piece of a yogurt container
- Ruler or straight edge
- Battery-operated tea light (I’ll show my favorite lighting mechanisms)
- Try to attend live, because we’ll have some special giveaways at the event!
