The Peace Balloon was launched in 2006 as one of the 25th Anniversary Celebration events for Hand Papermaking Magazine. The balloon was inspired by my friend, the singer/songwriter Bruce Markow’s song Prayer for Peace. Bruce joined me and performed his song at the launch.
The balloon was exhibited at the Aerospace Museum at the College Park, Maryland airport after the launch and at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.
