Paste Paper
25 Days of Paper – Day 8
December 8, 2017
On the even days during December, I’m highlighting the companies that are sponsors of the Twelve Months of Paper Calendar. These companies work hard to bring us beautiful papers, paper products, paper journalism, paper- and book making tools, paper history and more. Today, we learn about Madeleine’s Paste Papers.
Madeleine Durham is a fine paste paper artist working from her home studio in the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She uses a Shofu wheat paste recipe with a contemporary brush technique she has developed over that last many years. The resulting wavy lines and blended colors are a beautiful addition to any project needing a fine quality archival paper whether it be for fine bookbinding, calligraphy, or collage. She is happy to work with individuals requiring editions of multiples up to 100 or more if needed.
Madeleine’s on-line store will go live mid January 2018. To get updates, sign up for her e-newsletter. You may also order by contacting her directly. She is able to send photos of inventory on hand and is offering a 20% discount through December 20, 2017 with a flat shipping rate within the US of just $6.00. Madeleine’s paste papers make great gifts for the artists, bookbinders and calligraphers in your life. Madeleine is also offering a line of exquisitely fine Charmeuse Silk Scarves. Contact her for availability.
