Join me for this FREE one-hour workshop on Zoom! We’ll create this Mini-JoY banner, and afterwards, you’ll be able to create extra letters and spell other words. The workshop will begin with a short presentation about The Paper Year.
In light of current events, I think we could all use a little JoY right now. Come make a Mini JoY Banner to remind yourself to create joy in your own life; send it to a friend; or post what you create far and wide so that the entire world sees it. Of course you can create any letter/word combination that you wish. And hopefully, you will experience JoY while making these clever “letter pockets” in an online paper-loving community. You will need the following tools & materials:
- 3 sheets of approx. 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (14CM x 21.6CM) to create the panels
- This template, printed on card stock or onto the back of your project papers (please cut out 3 panels prior to the workshop)
- Tape (for holding things in place while cutting)
- Pencil
- Small cutting mat
- Ruler
- Bone folder
- Glue stick or double-sided tape
- 3 pieces of scrap card stock cut to 1-3/4″ x 2-1/2″ (4.4CM x 5.7CM) for making letter templates
- Scissors
- 1 yard of 1/4″ ribbon, string or raffia
