Please bring the following tools & materials:
- 8-1/2 x 11″ sheet of thin, translucent paper (for pleating)

- 1/4″ double-sided tape, glue with small applicator (1/8″ brush), or glue stick

Paper suggestions:
- Make sure your paper for pleating is thin but has some body/stiffness (thai unryu is too flimsy). I used my handmade abaca for the pleating, but any thin Asian paper will work (washi, hanji, etc.).
You will Learn:
- How to choose paper for a project: I will share specific paper recommendations with you, since this is one of the most common questions I get. It takes experience to develop a feel for paper, and we learn about paper qualities through the projects in The Paper Year.
